Terms of Service
Last updated: April 22, 2026
These terms govern your use of Cour, a product of Cabildo Strategy Services, LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Cour you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. Your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cour (or older where your local law sets a higher age). You’re responsible for the security of your sign-in method — keep your email, Google, or Apple account safe. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when you connect sources (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts) and not to connect accounts you don’t own or have permission to access.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Cour to violate any law, harass another person, or infringe intellectual property rights
- Attempt to access another user’s account or data, or circumvent our security measures
- Upload content you don’t have the right to share, or content that is defamatory, harassing, or contains personal information about someone who hasn’t consented
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive our models, prompts, or ranking logic
- Use Cour to spam non-members via the invite / tagging features (we rate-limit and will ban for abuse)
- Sell, sublicense, or resell access to the service without our written permission
3. Your content
You own the content you create in Cour — memory pins, tours, comments, chat messages, and everything you bring from connected sources. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the service for you. The license ends when you delete your content or your account.
When you set a memory pin, tour, or comment to a “public” visibility, you’re granting other Cour and Portage users permission to see it. Public visibility is also indexable by search engines when the content is visible on a public page (e.g. a landmark page on Portage).
4. Connected-source data
When you connect Gmail, Calendar, or Contacts, you authorize Cour to access that data under the scopes Google shows you. Disconnecting a source immediately stops ingestion of new data. You can delete previously ingested data via your account settings or by emailing support@mycour.app.
You agree not to connect sources that contain data you’re not entitled to share with a personal tool — e.g. work accounts whose data is subject to confidentiality obligations.
5. Assistants and AI features
Cour’s Chat feature uses large language models operated by Anthropic and Google. Your messages are transmitted to these providers to generate a reply. Replies are best-effort, not guaranteed to be accurate or complete. Don’t rely on them for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.
We never use the private content you keep in Cour to train AI models, and our AI providers never train on your data at all. Content you choose to publish may help shape what your network sees; the memories you keep private stay private.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance windows, provider outages, and unexpected failures happen. We’re not liable for losses caused by service interruption.
7. Paid features
If we launch paid features (e.g. article unlocks, credit top-ups for model usage), specific pricing and refund terms will be disclosed at purchase. Charges are made in US dollars via Stripe; you’re responsible for applicable taxes.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@mycour.app. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or we’re required by law. We’ll give you reasonable notice when the situation allows it.
9. Disclaimers
Cour is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Information you see in Cour may be stale, incomplete, or wrong — verify anything consequential in the source app.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of Cour is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim or $100. We’re not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; when we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you via the app and/or email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
